Iowa City RN Jackie Heinle has dedicated her 28-year career to caring for patients at the Burn Treatment Center and now serves as nurse manager of the 16-bed unit at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, the only burn treatment center in the state. She also travels around the state to fire departments and rural hospitals to teach first responders that burn patients need to receive the best treatment possible immediately.
