Air Force program entices airmen to become nurses
The Air Force is working to reduce its nurse shortage by offering enlisted airmen the opportunity to earn a nursing degree and become an officer. In exchange, the airmen must commit to being an Air Force nurse for four years. The program's goal is to select 40 candidates this fiscal year: 30 who need two years of schooling and 10 who would need one year to earn a nursing degree.
