Wash. district to use Chromebooks to administer online exams
A school district in Washington state already is using about 75 Google Chromebooks in its schools, and officials say additional devices could help reduce annual expenditures of approximately $800,000 for computer upgrades and replacements. Chromebooks, which would support new online assessments, cost about $300 each -- about one-third less than a standard personal computer or laptop, district officials say. However, some have raised concerns regarding the durability and security of the devices.
