Penn veterinary school researcher tackling viral proliferation
In an effort to find a treatment for viruses such as Ebola, microbiologist Ronald Harty, an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, and his team are developing a compound that could stop viruses from spreading. The agent would prevent new virus particles from budding off an infected host cell, effectively halting the proliferation.
