Hotel prices in N.J., NYC plummet as rooms remain empty for Super Bowl
Hotel rooms are still available in New Jersey and New York City only a few days before Super Bowl XLVIII, and some hotels are cutting prices in a bid to generate demand. The vacancies could be because of the saturated New York hotel supply and the cold weather turning off travelers, said Alan Bachand, Super Bowl hotel-rooms broker at 14SB.com.
