CDC sets emergency operation center at highest level for Ebola response
The CDC's Emergency Operations Center has declared the Ebola outbreak in West Africa a high-level emergency, as the death toll from the situation surpassed 900. The CDC has devoted more than 200 staffers to the outbreak with 50 mobilized to work at the epicenter. Similarly, the World Health Organization declared the situation a global public health emergency and called for the international community to deliver assistance as quickly as possible.
