Parents in the Wayzata School District near Minneapolis bring their children to an early-morning program at a church, where the students are immersed in learning foreign languages from native speakers. The program, for children in grades K-8, started 10 years ago when parents felt the district wasn't doing enough to promote immersion instruction.
