Ill. legislation would create program for adults with autism
Proposed legislation under consideration in Illinois would create what some hope would be a model day-care program for adults with autism in the state. The bill, which has cleared the state House, is aimed at serving those who have reached age 22 and no longer can attend the state's public schools. "This is one of the No. 1 problems, not just in Illinois, but in all of the United States," said state Rep. Patricia Bellock, the bill's sponsor.
