Researchers tout use of silver nanowires to combat counterfeiting
Researchers in South Korea have developed unique "fingerprints" of silver nanowires that could be incorporated into currency and credit cards to prevent counterfeiting. Random patterns of carbon nanotubes are added to the nanowires to create a unique identifier that would be difficult for counterfeiters to emulate, they say.
