Federal and state lawmakers are considering new chemical regulations in light of last year's West, Texas, incident, but industry groups say such a move might not be necessary. "The expectation is that regulations are going to address every issue, but these are things that can be done with better communication with facilities," said American Chemistry Council spokesman Scott Jensen.
