Major food makers are embracing kimchi and moving the flavor into the mainstream. General Mills has introduced kimchi-flavored tortilla chips without marketing around the unique flavor. "Unique foods start off being a little bit intimidating," said Colby Darling, General Mills nutritionist. "But as they get out there, people say, 'Hey have you tried this?'"
