In a letter sent to CMS on Monday, the American Hospital Association asked the agency to revisit a proposed health care law provision that requires providers and suppliers to report and return payments mistakenly given by the government. "[T]he law is being contorted by this proposed rule to create another confusing, onerous and legally risky set of expectations for hospitals," the group said.
