AT&T sees "Watson" as elementary to the mobile cloud
AT&T is preparing a voice-recognition service it calls "Watson" as an example of the cloud-based technology the telecom will use to deliver more features to wireless subscribers, a top executive said. "People want to do more with the network and can do more if the cloud is closer to them," Chief Technology Officer Krish Prabhu said. Other technologies that AT&T Labs is working on include more intuitive GPS systems and smarter TV sets.
