Calgary Zoo in Canada to find new homes for South American animals
Next week, Calgary Zoo in Canada will begin moving 34 animals to other institutions after deciding to permanently shutter its South American exhibit building, which was severely damaged by June flooding. "We know people will be sad that these animals are leaving us, but we need to think of their welfare and we simply can't provide for their long-term needs in the foreseeable future," President Clément Lanthier said.
