New attractions at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida to bring 3,500 jobs
Gov. Rick Scott and officials of Universal Orlando Resort announced that almost 3,500 workers will be hired at the Florida theme park for its new attractions: the Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley, the Cabana Bay Beach Resort and the expansion of Universal CityWalk. "The governor and the state are certainly helping tourism by increasing the budget," Universal Orlando President Bill Davis said. "We think we're helping tourism by investing." Scott also reported that the state welcomed an estimated 94.7 million guests in 2013, a 3.5% increase from 2012.
