Coney Island in New York opens for first post-Sandy season
New York's Coney Island area will open on Sunday for its first season since Hurricane Sandy. Ride and shop owners have worked nonstop to rebuild in the aftermath of the storm. "They've been cleaning, repairing and replacing," Ken Hochman, a spokesman for Deno's Wonder Wheel Park, said. Meanwhile, Coney Island's famous "Cyclone" roller coaster will turn 86 this year.
