Coca-Cola keeps focus on innovation
Mel Landis, chief customer officer for Coca-Cola Refreshments, said the company will continue introducing new concepts to boost convenience store purchases. ?In some cases, it may even be different forms than it is today," he said. "It may be aluminum or glass. It could be a Freestyle [fountain] machine. It could be anything, but you?ll continue to see us diversify, whether in form or function or package." CSP (10/30)

Evian teams up with Diane von Furstenberg
Danone brand Evian has partnered with celebrity designer Diane von Furstenberg for a limited edition bottle that features the designer's iconic heart DVF logo. The transparent bottle is printed with organic ink. (11/2)

Cutty Sark rolls out new whisky in green glass bottle
Cutty Sark, Pearlfisher and O-I introduced a new addition to the whisky's core lineup that is packaged in a new glass bottle. Cutty Sark Storm is sold in a tall, oval-shaped green glass bottle designed by Pearlfisher and manufactured at O-I's Alloa glass plant. Packaging Europe (U.K.) (11/5)

Quinn Glass rebrands its bottling arm
Quinn Glass has rebranded its bottling division and will bottle bulk beverages imported by the U.K. as well as beverages produced in the country. The division, now called Cobevco, will be housed at the company's Cheshire location, which includes glass manufacturing, bottling, bonded storage and distribution. (11/5)

GPI announces 2012 Clear Choice Award winners
GPI recently announced the winners of its 2012 Clear Choice Awards. This year, eight consumer product goods companies were recognized for their achievements in creating innovative glass packages with shelf impact. Entries were judged on innovation, package design (including container label and closure), and consumer appeal. While there are eight specific product categories, Skinnygirl Vodka, made by Beam Global Wine and Spirits, was named the overall winner by a panel of independent judges. The glass container for Skinnygirl Vodka is manufactured by Vitro. See the full list of winners.
