Travel writer pioneers "jethiking"
Amber Nolan, a freelance travel writer and blogger, aims to visit all 50 states by what she calls "jethiking." The 28-year-old says she can line up one or two flights in advance and spend the rest of her time sightseeing, writing and learning about aviation. Aircraft expo returns to Arizona this weekend
The fourth annual Arizona Aircraft Expo will return to Landmark Aviation at the Scottsdale Airport on Friday and Saturday. Aircraft models on display will include Beechcraft, Cessna, Cirrus, Eclipse, Piper and several others. The event is free, and services will be on hand for anyone interested in purchasing an aircraft. Mass. airport is set to begin milling runway
Pittsfield Municipal Airport in Massachusetts is set to begin milling the new runway extension that was paved in August. Police use of UAVs sees opposition in Seattle
Members of the Seattle Police Department were faced with chants of "No drones!" at a public meeting two weeks ago. Ryan Calo, a faculty member at the University of Washington School of Law, has written extensively on the subject of how UAVs might affect privacy. "We associate drones with the theater of war, and we can picture the inscrutable robot flying over the city," said Calo.
