Girls Inc. of Chattanooga, Tenn., aims to inspire young women to pursue careers they might never have thought of. November is National Aviation Month, and Madeleine Dougherty, the group's program educator, organized a trip for six girls who had never been in an airplane to visit Wilson Air Center on Monday, where they met with pilot Rebecca Gibson. Quicksilver teams up with Mexico-based luxury dealership
Quicksilver Aeronautics has teamed up with Flying & Living LLC, a luxury dealership based in Queretaro, Mexico, a two-hour drive from Mexico City. Cessna signs contract with Caiga for final assembly of Caravans in China
In a move to provide Cessna Caravan turboprop singles for the Chinese market, Cessna Aircraft has closed a deal with China Aviation Industry General Aircraft to perform final assembly in Shijiazhuang, China. Components and parts manufacturing will take place in Wichita, Kan., and final assembly, painting, customization and flight-testing will occur at the Chinese facility. AIN Online (11/27)

Study: Ohio capital's airports add $4.6 billion to area economy
According to a new study, the Port Columbus International Airport, Rickenbacker International Airport and Bolton Field add more than $4.6 billion annually to the economy of the Columbus, Ohio, area. Charter, training operation relocates to Palatka, Fla.
Avia Aero Services has permanently relocated from Flagler County to Palatka municipal airport in Florida. The company was founded in 1991 and focuses on flight training and public education about the benefits of general aviation.
