  • Food and drink makers pick up recycler responsibility
    More U.S. food and beverage companies are taking on the cost of recycling their used products, a job traditionally handled by the government.     McDonald's has begun testing double-walled paper cups in place of foam cups for hot beverages at 2,000 restaurants on the West Coast, largely in response to a shareholder resolution asking the company to find alternatives to polystyrene.
