U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement takes effect on May 15

NCA has been supportive of the trade agreement, which will gradually decrease Colombian tariffs on confectionery, allowing U.S. confectionery companies to export to Colombia on a more even playing field. Even though the FTA allows Colombia to ship an additional 50,000 metric tons of sugar as soon as May 15, Colombia may not have enough sugar to export to the U.S. Contact Alison Bodor.
