Student attitude, behavior and confidence may contribute to gender gaps among 15-year-olds in maths and reading, according to a recent analysis by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. Data show boys, on average, performed lower academically than girls. However, the gender gap in reading narrowed among students ages 16 to 29. Reuters
