  • Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2012, Part 1
    With G2E 2012 just around the corner, gaming executives from around the globe are all on the lookout for the next big innovations and technology from leading and new manufacturers.
    This year's G2E will be held Oct. 2-4 (conference Oct. 1-4) at the Las Vegas Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. Attendees will start each day with a dynamic keynote. On Oct. 2, Katty Kay, anchor of BBC World News America, talks about Washington and the 2012 Elections. On Oct. 3, journalist Jon Ralston will moderate the annual State of the Industry panel. On Oct. 4, the Tribal Gaming Outlook features Donald "Del" Laverdure, acting assistant secretary of Indian Affairs for the Interior Department. In addition, conference delegates will benefit from an exclusive keynote from bwin.party digital entertainment co-CEO Jim Ryan.
    This year's conference sessions will reflect some of the industry's hottest topics -- iGaming, social media and generational marketing, the evolution of gaming technology, and the casino of the future. There's still time to register for G2E and benefit from all of this.     This two-part special report will highlight some of the current hot topics in the gaming industry. Part 2 of this report will publish on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

  • WMS to present 2 new slot machines at G2E
    WMS Gaming Inc. will give Global Gaming Expo attendees a preview of its two new slot machines. The Waukegan, Ill.-based company will show off a wide-area progressive slot, Game of Life, and Spider-Man, an immersive gaming experience.   • G2E to have more than 400 exhibitors
    More than 400 companies have signed up for 259,000 square feet of exhibition space at the American Gaming Association's Global Gaming Expo, an increase of 4% from last year.
