The paper argues that the government sets a minimum price for sugar in the U.S. that exceeds the world market price, costing consumers and businesses billions each year and the country thousands of jobs over the past decade. The new farm bill up for a vote this year gives lawmakers the change to fix this, the editorial says. Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (4/17) LinkedInFacebookTwitterEmail this Story
