World-language education programmes are being changed by technology, according to a recent report commissioned by the Language Flagship Technology Innovation Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The report includes several recommendations, including the use of design thinking and collaborative tools to enhance learning.

Do single-sex schools benefit students?
In this commentary, Sarah Burns, headteacher at Sandbach School in the UK, disputes recent reports that boys do not perform better in single-sex schools. Burns asserts that data show that boys -- as well as girls -- benefit from single-sex education.
