Some state pharmacy boards have moved away from their main job of overseeing pharmacists and now claim new authority to regulate pharmacy benefit managers and drug compounders, a recent Bloomberg BNA article said. Pharmacists who sit on state pharmacy boards face a conflict of interest in overseeing entities whose success or failure affects board members' own incomes. RxObserver blog
