Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said he supports the new policy to permit pocket knives on carry-on baggage from the Transportation Security Administration. Airlines are struggling to keep up with the demand for quicker Wi-Fi. Gogo is upgrading its ATG technology to an improved version known as ATG-4, which will accommodate more passengers without degrading the quality of service. Taxiway collision at JFK spurs call for tarmac safety
A ground collision on a taxiway at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Saturday has renewed calls for tarmac safety. Conn. lawmakers ask FAA to spare air-traffic control towers
Democratic lawmakers from Connecticut have sent a letter to the Federal Aviation Administration on plans to close air-traffic control towers. "We write to express our deep concern about the slated closure of the air traffic control tower at Tweed-New Haven along with 5 additional general aviation control towers throughout the State of Connecticut," wrote Sens.
