  • There's life in the 3DTV market, NPD DisplaySearch says
    The global market for three-dimensional displays is forecast to increase to 226 million units and $67 billion in revenue in 2019 -- up from 2011's 50.8 million units and $13.2 billion in revenue, according to NPD DisplaySearch. 3DTVs will increase from 25 million units to about 180 million units in that eight-year timeframe. "Despite some industry sentiment that the 3D bubble has burst, we expect 3D to continue to grow across several categories including TVs, portable devices and public displays," NPD DisplaySearch's Jennifer Colegrove said.
