  • FTC could face a legal challenge over children's privacy rules
    The Federal Trade Commission may open itself to a legal challenge if it proceeds with its proposed amendments to rules under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, according to TechFreedom President Berin Szoka, who said his group would support such litigation. "The FTC should take the time next year, probably hold a workshop and discuss these things, and issue a revised rule. ... If they don't, they will be sued.
