- Having fewer junk-food choices does not aid in weight loss
Data on 200 overweight and obese participants showed that those with fewer junk-food choices consumed fewer types of treats and had lower calorie intake from junk food compared with those who had more variety available. However, researchers found that overall calorie reduction and weight loss was similar in both groups, suggesting that limiting junk-food intake may not offer added benefits. The findings appear in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Reuters
