  • Study: EHR reviews needed to address clinical errors
    A study in JAMA Internal Medicine calls on increasing EHR reviews to help providers prevent breakdowns during consultations that lead to diagnostic errors. The study, which reviewed cases from a large Department of Veterans Affairs facility and integrated private health care system, found that the diseases frequently misdiagnosed included urinary tract infection/pyelonephritis and pneumonia.   • App helps users determine urine's composition
    Biosense Technologies recently unveiled a mobile application called Uchek that is capable of determining health problems in the user's urine by reading the color of urine test strips and identifying the urine's chemical composition.
