- Organic food isn't healthier or safer, study finds
A Stanford University study of four decades of research found no evidence that meat, fruits and vegetables labeled as organic contain more nutrients and a lower risk of contamination with E. coli or other harmful bacteria. "When we began this project, we thought that there would likely be some findings that would support the superiority of organics over conventional food," said senior author Dena Bravata, a senior affiliate with Stanford's Center for Health Policy. TPC Southwind Country Club is hoping to lure female customers and inspire them to hit the links with a five-day introduction to golf program designed to make new golfers comfortable on the course.
