  • Inspiring women to new heights
Twenty-six-year-old Amy Somers of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, caught the flying bug eight years ago and has more than 1,000 hours in the air. Now, she wants to inspire other women to fly by starting a chapter of Women in Aviation International. "Aviation is not yet a women's world. Right now, only about 5% of pilots are women -- but I think that's because many women think that learning to fly is not attainable for them. They're afraid they won't be able to do it, so they don't try," she says. Prince George Free Press (Canada) (1/9) LinkedInFacebookTwitterEmail this Story
