  • Advertisers criticize Microsoft's "Do Not Track" plan
    Microsoft's plan to make "Do Not Track" a default setting in the Internet Explorer 10 browser would "drastically damage the online experience," advertisers warned this week. A letter from the Association of National Advertisers, signed by more than 30 company chief marketing officers, including those of Procter & Gamble and Unilever, warned that Microsoft's plan would reduce the industry's data-collection capabilities by as much as 43%.     Household graywater could serve a useful purpose in irrigation, as it can aid plant growth while potentially helping reduce the use of fertilizers, according to research on 22 plant species from the Water Environment Research Foundation and American Cleaning Institute.
