  • EU should rethink emissions-trading scheme, FAA official says
A Federal Aviation Administration official said the European Union should reconsider its emissions-trading scheme. "I think that rather than being a steppingstone, I think it is a major impediment in moving forward in addressing aviation in the global outlook," said Julie Oettinger, assistant FAA administrator for policy, international affairs and the environment. Airlines for America estimates that the scheme could cost U.S. airlines $3 billion over 10 years. USA TODAY/Today In The Sky (4/13) LinkedInFacebookTwitterEmail this Story
