- EU should rethink emissions-trading scheme, FAA official says
A Federal Aviation Administration official said the European Union should reconsider its emissions-trading scheme. "I think that rather than being a steppingstone, I think it is a major impediment in moving forward in addressing aviation in the global outlook," said Julie Oettinger, assistant FAA administrator for policy, international affairs and the environment. Airlines for America estimates that the scheme could cost U.S. airlines $3 billion over 10 years. USA TODAY/Today In The Sky

- Export-Import Bank should drop aircraft lessors, Delta says
Delta Air Lines has suggested that the Export-Import Bank of the United States drop aircraft lessors as clients. "Many of these companies are investment grade and among the most profitable in the world, so they don't have a problem financing whatever they want to finance," said Richard Anderson, CEO of Delta Air Lines.
