  • Ergen: FCC delays are hurting search for wireless partners
DISH Network Chairman Charlie Ergen vowed Wednesday to pursue partners in his quest to operate a national wireless network with the satellite-based spectrum he has acquired. He did warn that regulatory delays in obtaining permission to operate its network on those frequencies could jeopardize DISH's ability to pursue its plans. He also vowed not to bankrupt the company in pursuing the business. "We may end up selling the spectrum. I am not saying that is an impossibility," Ergen said at an industry event. • Pay TV is more than holding its own against Internet TV
Although more than one in 10 TVs are now Internet-connected models, they have not generated widespread cord-cutting, according to this article. Just 1.5 million homes last year canceled their cable, satellite or telecom TV packages. One of the main factors behind viewers keeping their pay TV service is that Internet TV doesn't have live programming or fresh episodes of original shows.
