  • County in Wyoming will be home to new airport
    Hot Springs County, Wyo., plans to build the state's first new airport in more than eight years. The airport will replace a 1950s-era airport and will serve general aviation aircraft. "The funding is a mix of general aviation funding and state transportation funding," said Christy Yaffa, planning and budgeting manager for the Aeronautics Division of the Wyoming Department of Transportation.     Helen Collins, 80, took over the controls of a twin-engine aircraft after her husband collapsed while piloting the plane over Wisconsin.     Auburn University in Alabama has acquired a flight simulator to augment its flight training.
