Dreamliner delivery delay leads to some UA flight cancellations: A surprise delay toward the end of the manufacturing process of Boeing's new Dreamliner 787 seems to have caused the cancellation of inaugural flights for some of the aircraft. United reportedly is considering Airbus 350s to replace older Boeings: United Holdings Inc. is reportedly in discussions with Airbus for what may become the first U.S. purchase of the European aircraft manufacturer's 350-1000 twin-engine jet. The airline is discussing options to replace some of its older Boeing 747 jets, sources say. Bloomberg Businessweek

- AA pilots march to support contract negotiation efforts
Pilots for American Airlines held what one union representative termed a "unity march" Wednesday at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to demonstrate the pilots' unified stance as union and airline officials continue contract negotiations. Regarding the negotiations, "we're pleased with the progress that has been made so far and are focused on concluding negotiations in the near future," American spokesman Bruce Hicks said.
