    The Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs are preparing to employ the Health Data Dictionary from 3M as a key data layer of their joint iEHR and make it accessible to the public through the Open Source Electronic Health Record Agent.   • Guidelines call for restrictive approach to blood transfusions
    Transfusions of red blood cells should be given on a restrictive basis to stable patients, according to new guidelines published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
