Sales of existing homes in the U.S. are enjoying a broad recovery but suffered a modest setback in May, according to the National Association of Realtors. - Storm repairs on school roofs to bring work for Ill. contractors
Repairs to the hail-damaged roofs at the grade school and high school buildings in Carrollton, Ill., can proceed now that the state has approved them. Damaged shingles will be replaced on both facilities and a rubber membrane roof will be removed from the grade school building. In an amendment to a farm subsidies bill, the U.S. Senate has asked the Pentagon and the Office of Management and Budget to explain precisely how sequestration cuts would be handled. Revere Copper Products purchases Follansbee Steel assets
Revere Copper Products Inc., Rome, N.Y., has signed an agreement with an entity of the Louis Berkman Co., Steubenville, Ohio, to purchase the assets of Follansbee Steel, Follansbee, W.Va. Closing on the agreement is scheduled for June 29. Revere Copper Products will move, install and operate the equipment in Rome. The relocation is expected to take six months with an anticipated operational date of December 2012. Read more.
