  • Costco will borrow for shareholder dividend
    Costco Wholesale says it will pay shareholders a special dividend totaling $3 billion and will borrow $3.5 billion to do so. The retailer is taking advantage of low borrowing rates and is one of 173 companies planning a special dividend this month, presumably on the belief that dividend tax will increase in 2013.
