  • Clearwire wants to keep options open despite taking Sprint funding
    Clearwire is accepting an offer of $80 million in funding from suitor Sprint Nextel while continuing negotiations with DISH Network, which also wants to buy the wireless company. Sprint, which has a majority stake in Clearwire, said in December that it would acquire the remaining portion, but DISH has intervened with a higher bid.
