  • Women clearly lead men in social media for communication
A much higher proportion of American women than men communicate via social media, according to a study by Harris Interactive for Rebtel. The figures were 68% for women and 54% for men among online adults. "Our findings show that men tend to lag behind women when it comes to communicating with others through social media, which debunks other recent studies that suggest that men are more savvy networkers between the sexes," said Rebtel CEO Andreas Bernstrom. • Google's reach keeps marketers coming back
For all the complaints registered over the years about Google, marketers keep coming back, Google's results continue to be impressive and the search giant continues to dominate the U.S. market, with nearly a 66% share, writes Video Hub's Anthony Risicato. If the industry really wants change, he writes, "it needs to innovate, experiment and find new ways to improve on Google's already successful model." • Myspace unveils a tweaked home page

The debut Thursday, the same day as Facebook's f8 conference, is apparently just one stage in Myspace's planned transformation into a media destination. The final product is due to be introduced next month during Advertising Week. The Wall Street Journal (tiered subscription model)/Digits blog (9/22) LinkedInFacebookTwitterEmail this Story
