  • O-I teams up with local grocery store to debut Versa Flip jar
    Ohio-based Owens-Illinois released its Versa Flip jar at the local grocery store Walt Churchill's Market last week. The Flip is the third product in the company's Versa line, and is designed to make getting to the bottom of dip jars easier for consumers. The glass packaging company plans to sell 1,000 Flip jars at the local market before selling the jars to companies that make salsas and dips.     Maine's Board of Environmental Protection expressed unanimous support of a preliminary motion to ban the use of bisphenol-A in infant formula cans and baby food packaging.
