- How to improve customer service and satisfaction
The client experience plays a central role in maintaining loyalty, writes Allacyn Griffin-May. Show your customers how much you value them by focusing on communication before, during and after a sale and by responding to problems immediately. Small, unexpected acts of appreciation such as a handwritten thank-you or birthday card and discounts on other products or services can make a business stand out, according to Griffin-May, who also advises focusing on what you're good at, simplifying every possible step of the purchasing process and establishing an online community. - The benefits of cloud-based CRM
Cloud-based CRM systems are better than on-premise solutions in several ways, writes Paul Anderson. For example, using a cloud-based service may allow for a quicker installation and let your company save on upfront costs. The cost advantages of software-as-a-service CRM "have made it the primary choice for small and medium size companies (SMEs) that have limited budget for IT," Anderson notes. B2C Marketing Insider

- IRS draft clarifies family health coverage rules for employers
In new rules proposed by the IRS, the federal government clarified on Monday that employers are required to offer health insurance coverage to full-time employees and their dependents. The administration says that dependents are employees' children below the age of 26 and do not include spouses. Despite being required to offer family coverage, employers are not required to make it affordable and will not be penalized if employees cannot afford the coverage.
