- Obama picks former REI chief to head Interior
President Barack Obama named REI president and CEO Sally Jewell as his pick to succeed Ken Salazar as Secretary of the Interior. Jewell is a trained engineer who worked in oil fields and banks before taking the helm at the $2-billion-a-year outdoor clothing and gear retailer. - Home Depot to add 80,000 seasonal workers
Home Depot will hire about 80,000 seasonal workers at U.S. stores this spring, 10,000 more than the home-improvement chain brought in to handle the busy season last year.
