- $50,000 grant goes to aviation foundation
The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation is the recipient of a $50,000 grant to help fund an outreach and education project and expand the foundation's exhibits at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center in North Carolina. "Many businesses hire our graduates, from small engine shops to major aerospace firms," said Michael Phillips, a senior instructor at the school. "It would be devastating to our program if we had to close or move." Los Angeles Times (tiered subscription model)
