WhiteWave Foods is looking to extend its plant-based yogurt segment in the U.S., releasing two new soy- and almond-based varieties next year. - FSMA deadline escaping notice of foreign food suppliers
Many food facilities in China, Mexico and other foreign countries are unaware of or confused by the looming re-registration deadline for the Food Safety Modernization Act, according to Ben England of FDAImports, a regulations consultancy company. Registrations must be updated by Dec. 31 or foreign suppliers may find their goods are refused entry. "This is a worldwide problem.
