- Consumers turn to multirestaurant websites to book meals
According to new research, about 60% of people who booked restaurant reservations online didn't book directly through the eatery. Instead, they used a multirestaurant reservation website. "Although participating in a multi-restaurant reservation site represents an additional expense, restaurateurs should consider a distribution strategy that includes such sites, especially since they seem to be the preferred portal for younger guests who dine out more frequently than others," writes Sheryl E.
