Save the date for the 2013 Sustainability Summit
GMA will once again partner with the Food Marketing Institute to host the premiere industry sustainability event at the 2013 Sustainability Summit on Aug. 14-16, in Seattle.
Building on the success of the highly rated 2012 program, GMA and FMI are crafting a first-class speaker lineup and program for 2013. Session topics include making the business case for sustainability, sustainable sourcing and emerging trends, and new technologies that help reduce our environmental impact.
Last year GMA and FMI began tracking our carbon footprint during the conference, and in 2013 we are working to be carbon-neutral. Plans are in the works for composting waste, utilizing public transportation, sourcing locally and offering offsets that support sustainability.
The 2013 Summit will also include an opportunity to network with your peers from the top of the iconic Seattle Space Needle. The networking event was one of last year's top-rated activities so attendees will be invited to mingle with the best and the brightest in the business community while enjoying breathtaking views of Seattle.
Registration opens April 15 so keep an eye on your inbox for more details.
